Plastics recyclers' Bales quality guidelines

“It is time to understand that each product needs to be sorted towards a specific stream to keep the value of plastics,” said Plastics Recyclers Europe's President, Ton Emans.

 

Plastics recyclers have prepared a set of bales quality guidelines to drive market transformation towards circularity. The documents, however, do not have the ambition to replace the existing specifications which have been contractually agreed, but to provide an information benchmark to suppliers of any collected waste. 

 

Their structure can be applied to various collection systems in Europe. This includes deposit, kerbside or drop-off systems.
